Digital Sky Survey images indicate that the quiescent magnitude of V589 Her is about 19. 2. Time-series photometry of V589 Her performed by Jerry Foote, Utah and Tonny Vanmunster, Belgium in April 2902 resulted in the determination of a firm superhump period of 0.0947 +/- 0.0005 d, using the PDM technique.
