Stars #1 and #2 are saturated, and their magnitudes and colours should be used with discretion until accurate magnitudes are determined. 2. There is a very bright star just off the northern edge of this field, at 08h 40m 47.4s -14d 45' 55", with a reliable Tycho-2 magnitude of 7.44+/-0.01. 3. It is not possible to state what type of variable this is. Digital Sky Survey images show it to have a range of about magnitude 14 to 18, however it was measured during the sequence determination at V=11.5. It may just be a Mira variable.
