The first five stars of this sequence are saturated, and their magnitudes and colour are not reliable. However four of these stars have been previously measured photoelectrically as part of a sequence by Vogt (see below). 2. The sequence referred to above is by N. Vogt in Publ. VSS RASNZ No 5 1977, of which a earlier version is given in A&AS, 20, 85, 1975. This sequence is also shown on RASNZ chart 471 dated June 1979. Several of the comparison stars are shown by letter on that chart. This caused star #3 to be shown on the RASNZ chart at the position of star #1. Star #1 was not measured by Vogt. Also star 'd' on the RASNZ chart does not exist. 3. There is a bright star close to the variable that was too bright to be measured as part of this sequence. This star is at 07h 54m 23.9s -24d 18' 19" with a Tycho-2 magnitude of V=9.11+/-0.02. However Vogt's sequence gives a three night average for this star of V=8.93 B-V=1.68. It is possibly a small amplitude variable. 4. There are two additional bright Tycho-2 stars in the area of this variable with reliable magnitudes. They are: 07h 54m 48.4s -24d 18' 19" V= 8.03+/-0.02 (Vogt V=8.02) 07h 54m 06.0s -24d 26' 30" V=10.42+/-0.05 Bruce Sumner 20 January 2001
